Adrian is an examiner, supervisor and honorary clinical teaching fellow at the Universities of Warwick and Plymouth for the Orthodontic MSc courses and regularly lectures on orthodontics. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and the College of General Dentistry where he is an examiner for their Diploma in Orthodontics. He is Chairman for the British Orthodontic Society’s Practitioner Group.
He has been providing orthodontic treatments for children and adults in private general practice for over 24 years and is experienced in a wide range of fixed and removable appliances; incorporating orthodontics with advanced restorative and implant treatments. He is an Invisalign Comprehensive provider (and one of PortmanDentex’s Clear-Aligner Mentors/ Trainers), an Elite Damon-System Provider and an Accredited Incognito provider.
In 2018 he was Portman Dental Group Clinician of the Year and provides orthodontic treatments on referral in four of their general private practices. In 2017 he won the British Orthodontic Society Case Presentation Award and was invited to present the case at the Winter Study Day in 2018

Andrew qualified from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1978, followed by the Diploma in General Dental Practice, Royal College of Surgeons, UK in 1993 and a Master of Philosophy in 1999 for dental research at the University of Manchester.
Andy has written and lectured widely on cosmetic dentistry, facial pain, managing headaches and jaw joint problems, and restoring worn or broken down teeth to health.
He won the SmithKline Beecham Dental Practice Innovation award in 1995 and the Manchester Postgraduate Dental Society Award for research in 1999.
He was a founder of the British Society of Occlusal Studies in 1986. Other positions held include Dental Vocational Training Advisor in General Dental Practice and the UK Chairman of the American Equilibration Society.

Jonathan qualified from The University of Manchester, before completing his training in Oxford. He has a keen interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry, completing a one-year long post graduate training course in Advanced Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry at Advanced Dental Seminars in London. He has also attended courses in Veneers, Invisalign and Quick Straight Teeth.
Jonathan’s calm manner and friendly nature make him great with nervous patients. Jonathan understands visiting the dentist can sometimes be a daunting experience, so will take the extra time to really get to know you and listen to your concerns. His main priority is to making you feel comfortable and have an enjoyable experience when visiting Apollonia House.
Outside of work, you can find Jonathan playing golf, skiing or in the peak district climbing, spending most his free time outdoors.

Matt qualified from Sheffield University in 2010. He went on to do his training in Oral surgery as a Senior House Officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery unit at North Manchester General Hospital.
In 2015 Matt passed the postgraduate examinations for membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Matt has since gone on to attend the Royal College of Surgeons’ diploma in Advanced Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry in 2022. This 2-year course covers all aspects of advanced dentistry and is held to the highest level of excellence. Matt also restores implants placed by our implantologist.

Funmi qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2013 in the top 3 in her year with honours and distinction in clinical dentistry. She then spent a year in London where she completed foundation training and membership exam for the Royal College before doing 3 years of further training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative dentistry. Funmi is currently training to be a Consultant and specialist in Restorative Dentistry (which encompasses the specialties of endodontics, prosthodontics and periodontics) at the University of Manchester. She also recently completed the Chief Dental Officer’s Clinical Fellowship Programme where she took on a role at Health Education England, influencing the reform of education and training pathways for the dental team

Mr Leandros Vassiliou DDS MD MSc FRCS, graduated with grades ‘excellent’ in both Dentistry and Medicine in the University of Athens, having received numerous distinctions and honours throughout his undergraduate training in both faculties.
He was awarded the membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in 2010 in the United Kingdom. He completed the Oral & Maxillofacial Training in the London Deanery having worked in the University London College Hospital, King’s College London Hospital, St George’s Hospital and Guy’s Hospital London. He was awarded a Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016 having received the Gold Medal in the Final Specialty exam – the highest distinction. He is now practising as Consultant Oral Maxillofacial and Head and Neck Surgeon in North Manchester. Mr Vassiliou is an honorary Lecturer of Medicine in the University of Liverpool.
Mr Vassiliou’s research interests include; DNA damage and cancer biology, head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgery and tissue engineering. He has a rich academic portfolio including publications in high impact factor journals and over 3000 citations.

Dr Arkuszynski graduated in 1995 and completed his specialist training in anaesthesia and intensive care in 2003. He came to the UK from Poland where he had worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensivist at The Paediatric University Hospital in Lodz.
Dr Arkuszynski started his UK career as staff grade in anaesthesia and intensive care in April 2005 at The Pennine Acute Hospital Trust. He started at The Christie in November 2007, initially as a locum NHS consultant, and in September 2009 he was appointed as substantive CCU and anaesthesia consultant.

Varinder graduated from King’s College London in 2019, after spending 8 years in London. In that time, he completed a BSc degree in Pharmacology in 2014 before training to become a dentist. He provides general dentistry and has a keen interest in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry. He loves to keep up to date with the latest techniques and materials used to provide his patients with the best quality treatments and is looking to develop his restorative skills even further as he is undertaking a MSc programme in Restorative Dental Practice at University College London’s Eastman Dental Institute. He is keen to take before and after photographs of treatments for his own portfolio and to show his patients whilst treatment planning difficult cases or aesthetic cases. He enjoys doing composite bonding/veneers as well as Invisalign GO to create the complete aesthetic look. Away from the clinic, Varinder is a passionate Manchester United supporter and regularly goes to watch them as well as playing football weekly and training in the gym to keep fit.

I started my career in dentistry in 2001 as a dental nurse, and worked in general practice for 5 years before moving to Manchester Dental Hospital, where I gained many post qualifications before transferring to Manchester Children's Hospital in 2013. Here I gained knowledge and experience in treating medically compromised and anxious children and adolescents.
I enjoy being able to provide a wide range of treatments including professional debridement, Air polishing, periodontal treatments, whitening and tailored oral health advice. All the while ensuring my patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout the appointment.

I am originally from Canada, moved to the UK in 2004. After qualifying in Canada as a dental assistant my passion was always to deliver oral health to patients. In 2005 I attended the Greater Manchester School for Professions Complementary to Dentistry gaining a diploma in dental hygiene (honours) and therapy. After working in both private, specialist and NHS settings I furthered my knowledge gaining a deeper understanding of the subjects earning a BSc (Hons) in Dental Studies from The University of Central Lancashire in 2013.
My passion is treating patients with mild to severe periodontal disease (gum disease) while helping them learn the importance of improving and maintaining their oral health. In particular, I enjoy treating those patients who have not attended the dentist in many years for various reasons including fear and anxiety. Through a personalised treatment plan I can help patients improve their gum health.
In my spare time she enjoys going on family holidays, running and scrapbooking.
